High School Sports Fund Raising Trends

Most if not all high school sports programs are struggling to achieve successful programs through many different fund raising activities. Two recent local media news reports cover related topics.

A couple high schools have banned streaming video at their football games. Besides the possible loss of revenue they also indicate that opposing teams will be able to more easily scout them. This was even with the firm sharing in the revenue. Many of the nearby teams don't seem to share in the boycott. A local Norfolk, NE media outlet started covering three local football teams that play on the same city owned field which was recently renovated with a synthetic turf play surface. They hope to carry winter sports programs as well from the local area high school gym/sports facilities.
Sports booster clubs and school districts are raising moneys through more elaborate sponsorship programs. Learn more about how sponsorship programs are bringing in funds to support high school activities.
Please share the fund raising activities that have helped your schools, school districts and youth sports programs. Tru Mark will post them for others to consider.
